Alexandria Hurd

Founder and Owner, Lakeview Equine-Assisted Services

Born and raised in Flower Mound, Texas, Alexandria Hurd discovered her passion for horses at the age of six, and it has shaped her life ever since. Growing up, she competed in the hunter/jumper circuit and found solace in the healing power of horses through life’s challenges. She pursued her passion at the Savannah College of Art and Design, where she blended her love for horses and art while beginning her journey in equine therapy.

During her time at SCAD, Alexandria completed an mentorship with Elizabeth Todd, where she recieved her certifications as both a PATH Intl. Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor (CTRI) and an Equine Specialist in Mental Health and Learning (ESMHL). During this time, she developed a deep love for working with those with special needs and disabilities, and has experience working with a wide range of individuals aged 4 to their 60s. Her dedication extends to training horses, ensuring they are safe, sound, and ready to serve as therapy partners.

After graduating, Alexandria relocated to East Texas, where she built and now operates Lakeview Equine-Assisted Services. Through her work, she continues to share her lifelong passion for horses, fostering connection, growth, and healing in others.
